Purpose
Stewards hold operational responsibility for the Alliance — maintaining infrastructure, coordinating activities, managing assets, and ensuring the organization can fulfill its purpose. They serve the membership rather than directing it.
Criteria
- Active Member in good standing
- Demonstrated commitment to Alliance purpose
- Capacity for ongoing operational contribution
- Trusted by existing Steward Council
Selection
Current: Self-appointed with consent of existing Stewards Future: Selection process to be determined by Alliance Assembly
Responsibilities
- Operations: Maintain Alliance infrastructure, coordinate communications, manage platforms and tools
- Stewardship: Protect and evolve shared assets, maintain treasury, ensure constitutional integrity
- Facilitation: Enable Alliance Assembly gatherings, support activity formation, coordinate Steward Council
- Representation: Represent Alliance in external contexts, engage with media and partners thoughtfully
