Theoretical accounts of power in networked digital environments typically do not give systematic attention to the phenomenon of oligarchy — to extreme concentration of power. This paper examines how oligarchic dynamics manifest in crypto-governance spaces, providing a critical lens on the power structures that Network Nations must navigate and guard against.
